This shot is showing a women surrounded by many other people; we know she's an angel because of the wings and the bright halo above her head - Our attention is drawn to it especially as it's lit up and glowing. She looks confused and uncertain because she's just fallen through the sky and landed in an Italian town. By including angels in the advert it shows them as something greater and superior than beings. Their beauty is very obvious and the costumes they wear and the make-up used enhances that. Throughout the advertisement the other characters are in ore of the angels because it's a bizarre extreme and out of this world. They look like they are searching for something which they are, because the ad is about these angels finding the man wearing Lynx.
This is a close-up of a man and he's the one using the product in the ad which is enticing all the angels. He looks quite ordinary and this is why it's open to a wide target audience of men. The point is that Lynx can be used by any guy to attract women and casting this particular person shows exactly that. He's not represented as a model and the role could be filled by a random member of the public. In this snippet he is bemused by all the angels coming towards him and the song 'sexy boy' is playing in the background. It's a diegetic sound but the piece is not what you'd expect because it sounds like church music. This was cleverly done and makes it quite amusing and fitting with the advertisement.
A medium shot. I thought this clip was quite humorous because it's showing a blind man following these angels with his eyes. This reinforces the strength and power they have and shows that all the others in the background are mesmerized by them. Also another thing which makes the angels stand out is that everyone else is quite old and not that attractive, so viewers are then drawn more to the angels. His body language shows him as surprised and shocked.
In this shot we see the spray clearly displayed on the left and also in the actor's hand. We know he's in his bedroom and the product has worked successfully for him because there are feathers all over his room suggesting that an angel has been. The name is shown and the slogan "Even Angels Will Fall" is slightly bigger, this is the meaning behind the ad and represents that Lynx is beneficial to the customer. This is the man's point of view and other males watching this will be interested as it's aimed at them, woman may be intrigued to because of other reasons. I think stereotypical behavior is used in the way that the product can attract the opposite sex but it is true in some ways. The institution is shown at the end which confirms what the ad was for.
Men and women are represented in different ways in this advert to sell Lynx. It relates to what people might think and gets them to believe that the product could have angels falling for you - it's funny and is used in a particular way to get you interested.
