Assignment 3 Ideas - Films

Idea One

It's 2012 and a year of great celebration for the country. With the Olympics coming to town and the Queen's Jubilee here (if that holds any meaning to anyone) people are partying away... but not Sienna Kingsley. No. She has exams to sit, a driving lesson to pass and a whole lot of bonding to get through with her awkward family. None of it is possible without best friend, Natalie... but what happens when she leaves for America and Ella is assigned clumsy Kai as her life saver?

This is a film that could potentially be a comedy. It's aimed at teenagers because they can relate to the main character and follow the journey of a crazy lifestyle. It could also be entertaining for families to watch together. It has a similar type of target audience as '17 Again' and 'Confessions of a Shopaholic'. This is because there is the humour factor as well as having storyline.

Idea Two

16 year old Ella has pretty much lived the life of perfection; she has the best of friends, an easy life at school and a loving family. It's a shame she has to trade it all in for the real world when tragedy hits and her Mother's life is taken away. Forced to go and live with her long lost Father and his great family, Ella is in no mood for cooperation. Transforming into a new rebel child, she's ready to create havoc no matter what...  Old wounds get ripped open, the truth is told and we see how one bad situation sparks another - again and again.

This idea contains a lot of drama with elements of comedy. It's aimed at 12+ and would be the sort of thing to watch with friends.
