The Denotations of this picture - It's an image of Jessie J on the front cover of 'Buzz' magazine. I'd say it was a medium shot and she has direct address to the camera. The colours are just pink and black, with the background being plain so the rest stands out. The fonts vary depending on what is said in the text and how important it is, e.g - the title is important so it's bigger than the writing at the bottom. There's a 'Sun Newspaper' logo on there as well and some further information on what is in the Mag.
The Connotations of this picture - I think the front cover represents fun and shows its going to be about TV and fashion. It's not so serious and i get this from the smile on her face which represents something good. The text gets you interested and wanting to turn the pages to find out more... Also Jessie J is someone who is strong minded and popular, so it could reflect what's in the rest of the magazine.
